Painless Wiring Fusebox
This has got to be one of the nicest additions you can make that will really help
keep things organized and also force you to wire things properly. It's a simple fusebox with
4 ignition hot circuits and 3 constant hot. The box has a single hefty power line, on a breaker,
that runs to it. The switched circuits are on a relay that taps into any switched hot wire
under the dash. I found a provided "Customer" one just to the right of the steering column
capped off that worked perfectly. The unit came with every possible thing needed to install
except tools. There were self-tapping screws to attach the fusebox and for the circuit breaker.
It also came with all of the necessary crimp-on connectors to power and ground the unit. From
the pictures you can see where I mounted the breaker under the hood, and the fusebox itself
mounted to the firewall. Yes, I know there are wires everywhere, but it was taken in the middle
of my installation so please excuse the mess :). In the picture you can also see the relays mounted
that are used for the daytime running light disable and the backup light controls. The black
thing down in the lower right corner is a noise filter for the CB radio.
